Application of Mane Connection
is Quick and Easy
Prepare your clients hair using a clarifying shampoo,
dry throughly and remove weight from the ends of the hair.
1.
Take a horseshoe section from ear to ear, using two fingers,
as a guide to measure from the nape of the neck.
Start Mane Connection at the bottom centre of the head.
Take a very fine section from the middle of the first row.
Remove the protective covering.
Place the bond, beneath the section the same width as
the weft tape. Drop the section onto the strip on its natural
fall, avoiding root lift and smooth with tail comb.
Remove the protective covering from the second strip
and place it directly on top.
Mane connection should be applied in a brickwork pattern.
Working from the first row leave a 2cm gap between each row.
Angle the strips on the side of the head to ensure that when the
hair is put up they do not show.
Cut to remove overlength hair to avoid tangling and matting.

Maintenance
Brush hair often to avoid excess tangling. Place a firm, flat hand over the tape bond when brushing each section of hair to a
void adding excess tension to your natural hair and scalp. Gently brush hair starting from the ends, brushing in a downward
motion working your way up to the top. Ensure you are using a professional hair extension brush or looper brush.
Wait 24 to 48 hours after application before washing to allow bonds to set.
Before washing, gently brush hair as instructed to ensure hair is tangle-free. Use cool or lukewarm water when washing. Apply
a salon-quality
, silicone and sulphate free shampoo, washing the hair in a downward direction. Avoid scrubbing or bunching
the hair while lathering. Rinse hair thoroughly. Apply a salon quality, silicone and sulphate free shampoo, conditioner to the ends
of the hair. Supporting the bonds with a firm, flat hand, gently brush all the tangles using a detangling brush or wide tooth comb.
Rinse hair thoroughly and pat hair dry with a towel. Allow hair to air dry completely or use a hairdryer on a low heat setting.
It is advisable to minimise the use of heated appliances where possible. If the use of heated appliances is necessary, use on the
lowest heat setting, ensuring not to exceed 180°c. Avoid using heat near the tape bond; excessive heat could cause bonds to melt.
Do not use styling products that contain alcohol.
